Amorino was not born as a company. It was born from love and from a choice.
It began when I realized that the career path I was on no longer made sense. I needed something lighter, more creative and more aligned with who I was. That is when crochet came into my life. What started as a small handmade business selling my pieces soon became a passion: a refuge that gave me back purpose and meaning.

The beginning: Amorino Ateliê
In 2018, Amorino Ateliê was born: a studio where I started creating handmade pieces.
The name came to me during an exchange program in Portugal, when I decided to leave my degree in nutrition to look for something that truly made sense to me.
Back in Brazil, crochet became a new way for me to create and earn a living. I opened the Amorino Ateliê Instagram account with no idea that such a small profile would change my life.
Over time, I noticed that many makers were frustrated with how their pieces turned out because of remnant yarn: uneven, full of joins and hard to work with. That is when I understood something that would change my path.
The problem was never the maker. It was the yarn.

When yarn became purpose
The wish to create a better yarn began to grow inside me: a yarn that respected those who create and made the work easier for makers. In 2020, Amorino Fios was born.
By my side, Ton, my husband, joined me on the mission to build something bigger.
We started at home, as a family, with machines my father built by hand and every roll made by hand, with great care.
We faced countless challenges.We made mistakes, adjusted and started over. But we never gave up on what we believe in: quality, consistency and respect for those who make a living from their craft.

Growing without losing who we are
Amorino was born and grew up in the middle of the pandemic, through hard decisions, fear, insecurity, and a lot of courage too.
We worked tirelessly to sustain not just a dream, but a real business. Even as we grew, we made a point of keeping what has always mattered most to me: care in every detail.
Today, when I look at everything we have built, I see a more mature, well-structured brand, present in many places around the world, but with the same heart we had at the start.

Amorino around the world
Since 2020, Amorino has crossed borders and reached every state in Brazil and more than 40 countries, becoming part of the daily routine of thousands of makers. We took part in Mega Artesanal, Brazil's largest craft fair, and our yarns walked the runways of São Paulo Fashion Week and Copenhagen Fashion Week, proof that handmade belongs anywhere.
